Join the Sweet & Smoky Showdown!
The Sweet & Smoky Showdown is the ultimate culinary contest at the Cockrum Community Fest. Participants can enter in two exciting categories: Grillin’ Greatness, where you can showcase your best grilled protein, and Dessert Delights, featuring your most delectable sweet creations. Each entry will be judged on taste, appearance, and originality, with fantastic prizes up for grabs. Whether you’re a BBQ master or a dessert aficionado, this is your chance to shine!
Grillin' Greatness Rules & Guidelines
GRILLIN’ GREATNESS
- Entrants may choose any protein. Must be cooked on site.
- The $25 Entry Fee will be collected at time of Check-In
- Judging will be People’s Choice. To help competitors’ costs, the judging will be limited to 50 attendees of the Cockrum Community Fest.
- Entries will be judged on the following criteria: Taste, Appearance, and Originality.
- Cook site size is 10’x10’. All equipment must fit within your designated area. No trailers.
- Registration must be completed online by May 25, 2025. Please fill out our online form.
- Limited to 20 teams.
- Payout percentage from entry fees:
- 1st Place – 50%
- 2nd Place – 30%
- 3rd Place – 20%
Dessert Delights Rules & Entry Guidelines
- Entrants may choose any dessert dish to enter.
- Judging will be People’s Choice. To help competitors’ costs, the judging will be limited to 50 attendees of the Cockrum Community Fest.

- Booth size is 10’x10’. All equipment/display must fit within your designated area. No trailers. Please provide a table for staging/judging.
